DDD Invoices has raised a €1.31 million seed round to accelerate the development of its API-driven global e-invoicing compliance platform.
The funding round was backed by Fil Rouge Capital and 500 Global, alongside angel investors and experienced operators from the ERP and e-invoicing ecosystem.
The startup is also supported by former executives and founders from companies including IFS, Pagero, Tickstar, Arratech, and Docupath.
Rising Global Demand for E-Invoicing Compliance Solutions
Governments worldwide are increasingly enforcing real-time electronic invoice reporting requirements, creating significant compliance challenges for businesses operating across multiple countries.
Every jurisdiction often introduces different invoice formats, validation systems, tax reporting standards, and submission requirements. As a result, software providers, ERP vendors, and multinational businesses face expensive and fragmented integrations to remain compliant.
DDD Invoices is positioning itself as infrastructure for this growing global problem.
The company is building an API-first compliance layer that allows ERP systems, SaaS platforms, and accounting software to connect with tax portals, Peppol networks, and fiscal reporting systems through a single unified API.
How DDD Invoices Works
DDD Invoices automates the issuing, receiving, validation, routing, and archiving of tax-compliant invoices across different countries and regulatory frameworks.
Its platform supports:
- Continuous Transaction Control (CTC) compliance
- Real-time invoice reporting
- Fiscalization requirements
- Peppol integrations
- Cross-border e-invoicing workflows
The company says its proprietary AI-powered logic converts standardized invoice data into country-specific formats automatically while validating invoices against local compliance rules.
The system can also route invoices directly to relevant tax authorities and return processing statuses back to the originating application.
For unstructured invoice documents such as PDFs, DDD Invoices applies AI-based document processing technology to extract and structure invoice data automatically.
CEO Denis Vehovec Pondelak on Compliance Complexity
According to Denis Vehovec Pondelak, compliance is becoming one of the biggest operational challenges for modern software companies scaling internationally.
“Compliance is already not the most exciting part of building a company, but now it is becoming increasingly more complex due to governments tightening the regulations and companies scaling globally from the get-go. We’re building the infrastructure to take that off their plate.”
The company believes compliance infrastructure will become increasingly critical as governments expand digital tax reporting systems worldwide.
Existing Customers and Integrations
Founded by a team with more than 30 years of experience building business software and ERP systems, DDD Invoices is already working with several international companies.
Its customer base includes:
- Access Group
- Zenoti
