Our Commitment to Accuracy
When an error is identified in a published article, we correct it as quickly as possible. Corrections are noted clearly at the top or bottom of the affected article with a brief description of what was changed and when.
Types of Corrections
- Factual corrections: Changes to incorrect data, figures, names, or attributions.
- Clarifications: Additional context added where an article was misleading but not factually wrong.
- Updates: New information that changes the meaning or outcome of a story, added as an editor's note.
What We Do Not Do
We do not silently amend articles. Any material change to a published article is logged in a visible correction note. We do not remove articles from our archive except in extraordinary circumstances (such as a court order or a serious legal issue).
How to Report an Error
To report a factual error, please use our contact form and include:
- The full URL of the article.
- The specific claim you believe to be incorrect.
- A link to, or description of, a primary source that supports the correction.
We review all correction requests and aim to respond within two business days.
