Our Principle
All articles published on FounderTrove are written, edited, and fact-checked by human journalists. AI tools are not used to generate article text that is published without human review and rewriting.
Permitted Uses of AI
- Research assistance: AI tools may be used to surface publicly available information for a journalist to independently verify.
- Grammar and style suggestions: Automated writing assistants may suggest grammar corrections, but all final editorial decisions rest with the human author.
- Data processing: AI tools may be used to parse large datasets, which journalists then interpret and contextualise in their own words.
- Summarisation for internal drafts: AI may generate internal draft summaries that journalists use as a starting point, subject to full rewrite and verification.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not publish AI-generated text as original editorial content without substantial human rewriting.
- We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, attribute statements to real people, or create synthetic sources.
- We do not use AI-generated images to misrepresent real events or real people.
Disclosure
Where AI tools have contributed meaningfully to the production of a specific article, this will be disclosed at the foot of that article.
