Nepali AI startup Ank (Accelerated Komputing) has launched a GPU rental service aimed at helping students, researchers, and AI startups train artificial intelligence models at affordable rates. The company says the new platform will provide remote access to high-performance computing infrastructure without requiring users to invest in expensive hardware.
According to Ank, the startup has already built AI computing infrastructure worth more than Rs 3.5 crore across Nepal and Japan. Users can access powerful GPUs, storage systems, and virtual machines remotely to train AI models, run simulations, and process large datasets.
Co-founder Amit Regmi said the infrastructure was initially developed for the company’s own AI-driven mechanical engineering simulation projects. However, the team later realized that many Nepali students, developers, and startups lacked affordable access to advanced computing systems needed for AI research and development.
Ank currently operates 19 compute devices in Nepal, including NVIDIA RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 3090 GPUs. The setup also includes dedicated cooling systems, power backup infrastructure, and around 70TB of storage capacity. In addition to its Nepal operations, the company has deployed advanced AI systems in Japan for enterprise-level projects.
Beyond GPU rentals, Ank is also building AI-powered engineering and healthcare solutions. One of its products, MEDA, can generate 3D mechanical designs using text prompts or 2D drawings. The startup is also developing an AI system that automates dental crown design for healthcare applications.
The company says its AI simulation models are already being used by manufacturing firms in Japan, highlighting the growing international demand for AI-driven industrial solutions developed by Nepali teams.
Founded with a focus on applied artificial intelligence, Ank currently has a 14-member team and plans to expand its AI infrastructure and research capabilities further. The startup is also seeking investment to scale its products and strengthen Nepal’s position in the global AI ecosystem.
